Futura 08

Presenting at Futura 08


Citilabs is accepting abstracts for presentations during the professional program of Futura 08. We give top priority to properly developed abstracts that describe:

  • Modeling and simulation in major urban areas and other multi-modal projects
  • New and imaginative ideas in modeling and simulation
  • Unique custom applications in modeling and simulation
  • Cube-based custom applications where Cube software is integrated with other key industry packages, such as GIS, internet, and/or transportation applications

We give priority to abstracts that focus on current Cube releases, although we will also consider leading implementations of older Citilabs software. Abstracts will only be accepted from conference delegates, unless the conference chairman pre-approves special circumstances.

Submit abstracts in an e-mail to mclarke@citilabs.com no later than September 26, 2008. Abstracts should be approximately 150-200 words, and should indicate whether you intend to focus on the transportation model development or the software development and integration.

While software user demand will dictate the final professional program mix, we would like to suggest that you consider the following categories:

  • Passenger Models
  • Freight Models
  • Models with special focus on Public Transit and Toll Roads
  • Special Event Models (athletic events, evacuations)
  • Special Purpose Models (e.g., parking demand, ITS assessments)
  • Special Geographic Area Models
  • Traffic Microsimulation
  • Models with GIS integrated
  • Model Migration to Cube (e.g., from TRIPS or competitive models)
  • Cube Application Development
  • Software Integration

We expect authors whose abstracts are chosen for the program to submit preliminary presentation material no later than October 17, 2008. PowerPoint or similar presentation graphics software is the preferred material format.
