Accession 1.6 Released

Also announces plans for Accession 2.0

Woking, UK - Citilabs is pleased to announce the immediate release of Accession version 1.6, bringing significant improvements in software quality and the user experience. In addition, Citilabs also announces plans for the release of Accession version 2.0, providing several new functions to Accession users.

Accession provides users a solution for the analysis of the accessibility of public transport networks. It provides an excellent tool for the assessment of public transport services, as well as the determination of economic justice for all population segments. “We and many of our UK users have been anticipating these software upgrades”, said Mr. Tor Vorraa, Citilabs Regional Director for Europe. “They will enjoy the greater usability and utility Accession 1.6 offers.” This release includes:

• Improvement in display for newly created Grid Results in the Project Window.
• Improved results for the Local Accessibility Calculator when a very large “Minimum Service Frequency” value was entered.
• Improved processing consistency when calculating consecutive Network Accessibility calculations with certain input values.
• Support for larger Access database, such as when importing ATCO-CIF Public Transportation data.
• Improved results for contour generation made with the Query Tool.
• Improved and complete loading of Geodemographic shape files.
Citilabs also is working on Accession 2.0, which adds new features over and above Accession 1.6. This includes a software re-design and will have its main focus on:
• Provide support under Microsoft’s VISTA operating system
• Make the software independent on the MS Access database
• Make the software more efficient to reduce run times significantly
• Make the software easier to maintain in order to more efficiently be able to add new functions, reports etc.
• Provide a point-to-point Public Transport route analysis tool
• GIS tool enhancements
